I understand that you're from Germany and you have a perspective that's probably a bit more shaped and formed from the "other side" (if I may be so bold as to suggest that), but from an outsiders' viewpoint (as in NOT in Germany) and even more to the point, a non-participant in the actual fighting of WWII., how can what has been presented to the world for over 65+ years not be considered offensive to a particular segment of society? Or to the world as a whole?

I'm sure there may have been a segment of the Jewish population that may have been cruel to others, but to suggest (even off-handedly) that what happened in Germany and Poland was just is just plain offensive...no one, or no country, should be allowed the wholesale slaughter of innocents like what happened in Germany, Poland, Russia or China, or any other country around the world. Funny you say that, most of my friends in the construction business in Dallas tell me that US citizen employees rip them off left and right, while the undocumentareos rarely steel anything, as a general rule.

Maybe they just don't want to draw attention to the fact that they are illegals or maybe if they get fired they have no recourse. Well, yes. These people are for the most part, not criminals. They are desperate people driven to this in order to support their families, but of course, to understand that would require you to have compassion for them, of which you have stated you have none. These people were invited here by us. We invited them to take jobs, rent apartments and buy cheap cars from us. OTOH, if congress can "get tough" with AIG, why can't they get tough with people that, as you claim, invite them over? If I see that the penalty for DUI is a $50 fine and Johnny Law drives me home, WGAS? I'll drive drunk. What? You want me to pay for a cab out of my own pocket? OTOH, if I fail a sobriety test and a blood test and the penalty is 2 years, I might have to consider it seriously. Now, if the penalty is say summary execution, you bet I will never drink. Again, just an extreme case not calling for drunk drivers to be summarily executed, YET!

Inflation has nothing to do with your theories. Nobody is holding a gun on small businesses to use cheap labor. I can assure you, small or large business or employers will not pay a dollar more than they have to, to get ANY labor under any economic conditions. They won't pay a dollar more than they have to. The dollar they have to is less for illegals than it would be for Americans. If the illegals were gone, they'd have to pay more in labor. If they have to pay more in labor, prices go up. Since just about everyone has some illegals working for them, prices would go up across the board. Many markets wouldn't be able to sustain the higher price.

Are you sure that 12 million illegals really goes across the board so far that just about everyone has some illegals working for them?

Why won't markets be able to sustain higher prices? Again, it's not like say Denny's will be the only one raising prices. It will be all over so I am not sure it will affect things that much. But lets say that you are partially right and there is an effect of some sort, what about the cost of NOT having to support the illegals and their offspring? That could also become a savings and cover some of the costs. This is like tossing my kid out at 18. Sure, this means I have to mow the lawn or hire it out just like other jobs around the house when an extra set of hands is great. OTOH, I don't have to pay for his expenses so it might be a wash or a profit. You cannot argue that they don't take up resources.
