I think this is a very important comment.

This is not a matter of someone's rights being restricted in the US. I would fight for his right to make the video. The very fact that he made and published the movie here in the US means the system does work.

I will not put my life at risk to allow him to place other people lives at risk simply to make a point. I think his actions were irresponsible, he's a meglomaniac who thrives on publicity regardless of who is placed at risk.

He is allowed by law to do what he did but to deny that their are repercussions for.his actions is ignorant in my opinion. His actions may have contributed to the death of at.least four people that we know of. I think what people are asking is was the movie worth it? Was the statement he wanted.to make worth the lives of four Americans. No one is questioning whether he had the right to be an ass.

Where does it stop? In your world, we would live by the standards of the most easily offended among us. The little old church lady who is offended by your actions, and who could organize a mob would be able to prevent you from alcohol, porn, sex, driving your car, avoiding sitting in church 5 times a week, or whatever she thought was right.
How do you draw the line---except to say that the violent mob is solely responsible for what the violent mob does?

Everyone seems to be missing the point that everyone has to right to say anything but I don't have the right to make you listen to it.

I think that another, almost totally obvious point, is being missed. The Muslim Brotherhood and these other groups consist of young people with no jobs and no hope of getting a job. They are vulnerable to whatever cause might come along with a good story and a slick talker to suck them in. The slick talker has to come up with a catalyst to stir them up to the fever pitch he wants, so they will do such a thing as rioting and killing.

The movie just happened to be the excuse and catalyst he used to crank 'em up. If that movie hadn't been available he/they would have found something else.

Don't get me wrong, the movie was a stupid thing to make, but laying ALL the blame on the movie maker and promoter is EXACTLY what these radicals want so that they don't have to take any blame for their despicable actions.

If you can't see this, you are being sucked in by these radicals in just the way that they want. Don't be a sucker for them.

Sounds like David is saying that he is willing to put his life at risk for American Freedom as long as he gets to choose which freedoms are exercised by who, and how. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. You are either willing to fight for American Freedom or you're not.
