so a degree of separation means no guilt and no responsibility?

If I vote for someone who seeks to restrict other peoples rights, the fact that they restrict other peoples rights isn't partly my fault for supporting them? If I push someone, and they fall into a third person who breaks their neck, its not my fault? I can't be blamed in part?

I can't quite believe you just wrote this as well-

Haven't you just spent the entire previous year attacking anyone who voted for a president you personally hate and distrust?

I bolded the first part yes, but the entire quote is there.

first statement of yours-

second statement of yours-

you don't see the hypocrisy here? On one hand you make a broad claim that those who are athiest try to push it on others as a general rule, on the other hand you say you cant speak for others desire to push their belief on other people.

You contradicted yourself, and moreover, your initial comment flys in the face of recorded history of people butchering each other trying to push religious belief systems on each other

You and many others try to link ME with other people. I have stated my opinions often and emphatically on this forum, but I don't try to make others believe as I do. If in reading my statement of opinion, you want to think that this is what I'm doing then you can believe what you choose. I know differently.

To start with, yes I DO distrust the current President. I do NOT hate him though.

I have INDEED lambasted the current President and the damage that he has incurred on this great country. I also admittedly have made comments toward those gullible enough to be taken in by the guy. I have NOT "attacked" anyone for such gullibility. Implying that someone is gullible is only stating my opinion. I am not intending to "attack."

Time will tell.

You're REALLY slipping.
If you are giving up with the statement "looks like I can't change any of your minds" or something of the sort, would it not indicate that your intent/goal is to change people's minds to some degree? Sure you can semantically step away from the statement and deny it, but logically it doesn't make sense.

It's been my experience that people of Larry's ilk almost continually try to sell their wares to most anyone who will listen. Larry himself was the victim of such a sales pitch in his life.

It will be interesting to see if Larry 'fesses up, or performs one of his patented sidesteps...

This is so absurd I don't even know where to begin.

I "support" the politician who agrees with me politically and philosophically. So are you saying that I should vote for someone who I do NOT agree with?

I can't think of any course of action involving my vote that could possibly be more absurd than that.

your opinion is that athiests and agnostics try to push their beliefs on others, and your opinion is that you can't speak for others trying to push their beliefs on others.

I understand what you mean when you first sated that you can't speak for others, referring to organized religion throughout history, but you must also apply that brush to those you don't agree with.

If you can't speak for others, you can't speak for ALL others, including those who do not believe what you believe.

I've read it. It helped to form that opinion.

ive read it, im sure he has as well.

The bible is a very interesting book of stories and tales, some with morals, others without.

Some of us choose to put a greater weight into words written by men thousands of years ago than others.

In three thousand years, My progeny might be asking your progeny- 'hey young man, I challenge you to read the Lord of the Rings. " with equal conviction that the battle for middle earth actually happened as written.

Perhaps. Martureo has told us he is both an apologist and a missionary so he has a different attitude towards these matters.

The words and "stories" as you call them in the Bible are not nearly as important as the Deed of Jesus. He endured extreme torture and brutal murder. That's a much different commitment than words written on paper.

Well, seeing as how I slam the door, both physically and metaphorically on anyone who tries and I haven't slammed the door on you, I'd say you haven't. However, that does not mean you don't support those that do.

When you support someone who is pushing for things that don't affect you, you are interfering in their lives. If I voted for David Duke who runs on a platform of incarcerating Jews and black people, well..... I think you can see where this goes.
