BRAKES!? In my day we just tied ourselves to the bumper and jumped out of the car when got to where we were going. Worked like a charm.

I didn't vote at all in 16 so you can't blame me for Trump either. My choice won here so it didn't rely equate to anything. That very low percentage is due to it being a percentage of all cars. I'm sure the percentage of performance cars is way higher. I believe someone mentioned 20% of c7 were manual. If there's chocolate and vanilla and only 20% of sales are chocolate, they still aren't going to piss away 20% by eliminating it completely. 1-2% sure.

You kind of are to blame. Had you (and others) continued to buy cars with manuals the manufactures would still be making them.

Apparently Chevy will be pissing off that 20% since the C8 will not have a manual... at least not now. If sales drop then may be.....

I put a same year five cylinder in an 83 240D, not a later five from the 123 into a 115. I considered it and never had the desire to do the cross generational swap because there would be too many things different.

Just because you posted did not mean I saw it.

What is the format in your post 57?

Oh, it's just a screen shot from my thread.

And that is exactly why I private messaged you, i check the threads I'm subscribed to when I go on, but I figured I'd give you a poke since i needed info right then. Not sure how I was ever "rude". I was in a time crunch. Driving 2 hours to a pick a part and wanted to have as much info as possible.

I just bought a manual car last week. It just happened to be a year older than me. It's ok. I've got stock piles of transmissions to swap them into auto cars.

An electric starter isn't driving the car for me. Neither is power steering. Or power brakes. They are assisting your input, not changing it because you are doing it wrong or are unable to. Driving a go kart is a pure driving experience, you feel what it's doing like it is an extension of your body . I want my cars the same way. An auto trans, you put it in drive, it decides what gear to be in. Power steering, you turn left, the car goes left as much as you want it to, just easier. It's not making any decisions. On a race car that's light enough I'd rather not have power steering or brakes really. A 3200 pound car it's not really practical. I still have great feeling in my steering with power assist after modifications I've made. The brakes are great too. They are really good stock.
