Thanks for misleading us, Larry. Now I have to call the dealership back and grovel to get my Corvette order restored.

When it comes to who actually buys these new Corvettes, they're males in their mid 50s to late 70s. The new C8 boasts a massive trunk that will easily haul "Two sets of golf clubs." That's a direct GM quote. The C8 is on the disproportionate & bloated size design wise. Its always been a larger, yet powerful sports car. It's also (600 lbs. heavier than say the C5) but they (GM) claimed it'll do 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. But they've never provided proof. On the other hand, the slow C7 is rated @ 3.2 sec. 0-60. Have you ever driven a manual transmission RevMatch C7? I believe that you don't own one. Correct?

The C7's rear transaxle must be dropped and removed to gain access to the fuel tank's sending unit that routinely goes bad when stored for months with no movement, when more than 1/4 tank of fuel is present. Easily into $2K labor territory. There is a GM approved additive IIRC.

That sounds pretty normal. A fuel tank sender is a much different job than a belt change...

0 - 60 times are traction-dependent in such powerful cars. The C7 has about a 50-50 weight distribution, while the C8 is front 40/rear 60. The extra weight over the drive wheels in the C8 improves rear-wheel traction and promote better 0-60 times, particularly in concert with the increased horsepower found in the C8.

Just ask him if he has some form of erectile dysfunction. If the answer is yes, then he owns a Corvette...

Does that also cause awkward behavior when showing up uninvited at real estate showings?

Because he has a habit of lying and this sounds like he is trying way to hard to prove he has something.

I have a request: please take insulting comments to ODP&R and leave this sub forum for cordial car discussion.

So what? Take such insults and insinuations to ODP&R and let us talk about cars here.

You know what Larry? Out of respect for your 20-year catalog of unflagging forum cordiality and decorum, I will do just that.

No I do not own one. If I wanted to have 50 or 60,000 in a car(or whatever they cost these days) it would be built in my shop and to my liking. No abs, no rev match, no traction control. Three pedals I solely have control over. If I did own one of the only time any of those features would be activated would be if I let someone else drive it which would be very unlikely. You can all try to convince me that there is no reason to want to control the car when computers are better at it than you are now, again. Truth still is, the reason that there are less manual cars sold is, laziness, lack of skill and the unwillingness to learn a new skill that a computer can't do for you. Plus the manufacturers want to write nurburgring lap times and 0-60 times on thier websites(I doubt they even print sales brochures anymore). So it's ok to be in that camp, but you won't be convincing me that it is a better car for ME to drive with all that bull**** that you will be paying to fix in 10-15 years.

It doesnt matter to me if you like or would use GM's RevMatch. I was trying to ascertain whether you had actual experience with it by owning a C7 M7. That's all.
