What kind of Diesel Mercedes do you currently own? I'd buy one or two by the end of this year.

Don't forget to grease the screw and threads on the spring compressor.

$3k plus was my budget for a clean diesel Benz, in my area, W140's and W210 are at rock bottom values, w123, w126, and w124 are going up.

If you ever decided to sell one of your's I'll snatch it up.
I very well will sell the 422k E300 when I fix it. I've located the misfiring cylinder to a bad valve. I'm going to fix the head and make sure the bottom end holds a good deal. It is clean as far as rust goes some minor clear coat and new trans. I will fix other things too, but it will be a very good car.

I know I've asked this already, roughly how much would you sell it for?

I hope I am not hijacking but, a friend of mine has a '99 E300 with around 180,000 miles in very nice condition for sale. It is a 3 owner, rust-free California car. Smoke Silver in color (aren't they all?). It has had the head rebuilt not long ago (leaking head gasket), and all new glow plugs. Of course you would have to come to CA to get it. I think he is asking $3,500. PM for details

Well after I look it over with a fine tooth comb, and make sure it's where it needs to be, and considering the paint isn't perfect, but I'll have it detailed, compression test results and receipts of the trans replacement and other aforementioned work I'd ask $3200. It will be a great car. Considering my 99 e300 with over half a million isn't even close to giving up the ghost the mileage shouldn't mean anything. The interior is immaculate besides the dash having two cracks

That's a lame advert but as mentioned , the white roof does help greatly when in the hot climate....

Old folks all know this and remember white roofed cars fondly .

Thumbs up 300SDL 5 Speed

Looks interesting but that crappy air filter means it's been sucking in dirt so maybe the engine isn't wonderful .

He also doesn't mention what cylinder head # it has .

A great project to be sure .
