Some new pics...

Hello all,

I'll be posting the latest pics and potentially last pics, I'll be looking to sell her off now...a sad day, but like any project I'm never entirely sure what to do with it when it's done. LOL

Pics show a few of the "mods" I made, 16" wheels, W126 AC fan

Wow, that is some impressive work... beautiful color.

Question -did that 126 fan make any difference?

I don't know about anyone else, but yes it made a big difference in the installations I have done. The factory fan is so much smaller compared to the condenser, so both are not efficient with 134a. A Parallel Flow condenser and the 126 fan will bring back the efficiency lost by the smaller fan and serpentine condenser when running 134a. Of course the best combo is the big fan, P.F. Condenser, and R12!

I am glad C&B accepted your car. I just submitted my low mile, mostly original 240D, and they would not accept it. I believe C&B has large enough bidder base (not as big as BaT) to be able to sell a car like yours, and it should do very well. It is odd that many of us build these cars thinking we will keep them forever, but end up selling them anyway. My first wagon was that way. After owning my wagon for 5 years before restoring it, it was sold on BaT because I got a car that became more of a "keeper" (1985 300SLD- R107 Diesel conversion). Although I miss my wagon, the SL is so much more fun!.
