I have also had an inquiry about the low side hard pipe. This is one that has had the fitting welded (brazed) on:

Thanks. I need to get a diagnosis on what if anything is wrong with the AC in my brother's 1980 300SD, as the belt was not on the compressor when the PO bought it 8 years ago, but probably it is bad so he will want to order this at some point.

The belt being off is a dead giveaway, especially if it has the old style clutch which would indicate an original compressor from 1980.

I cleaned off the label and sure enough it says Harrison and R12 on it

I got them figured out. I can make up a set as soon as I get the ends. I may go to the wrecking yard and get a set to have as cores, so I can have the hoses ready when a set gets ordered.

ROLLGUY, if its cash only and you will not budge from this policy, are there any forum members near you that would act as intermediaries? IE- forum members from a distance away can mail a check or money order to them, and they can pay you cash.

Are you absolutely sure you will not take a money order or bank certified check for these kits that you can then cash local to you?

What is the transaction method? I never had a reply to my original question.

All 4 kits are tentatively sold. I am awaiting payment, and preparing them for shipment. I still have a few 5 cyl compressors left, so complete kits are still available.

I got my air working, how would i know if i have an original compressor/clutch? i can tell you one thing it robs some HP.

is there any noticeable difference in cooling with a parallel flow condenser?

If there is enough interest in the 7 cyl compressors over the 5, I may just decide to stock the 7's and not the 5's. The $20 extra cost will increase the total kit cost to $455. I know it is too early to get an evaluation, as I only have one 7 cyl out there so far (actually it's on my car

). I need your input. What do you think?
