No secrecy in the meaning of mine. Though I somewhat regret choosing it as I intended to be a lurker and I no longer have an 84 300d... Ha

Eh mines just something that interests me (love working on them). kudos by the way to the few people that know about that engine. coolest part about it was a lot of the tech there just starting to use commercially nowadays was installed on these engines originally. in the highest output form they were twin turbo, supercharged, high pressure direct injected, turbo compounded engines. direct injection is just starting to catch on for gas engines and turbo compounding is slowly becoming more common in over the road trucking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wright_R-3350_Duplex-Cyclone https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbo-compound_engine

I have tried to figure out what each one`s "Handle" means over the years.

Mine is simple, it`s my name, first, middle, last.

There have been some threads from the past on this same question.

Well, mine's from the song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl9bvuAV-Ao

The story goes like this. In 2003, I bought my VW Vanagon, which I named Magic Bus, after the song. Shortly thereafter, I signed up for a few online VW forums/message boards and used that for my username. Since then, I've kept it as my username on pretty much every automotive forum I'm a member of.

I've actually owned and driven Mercedes longer than that - back to 1996, when I got my first 240D (1982 automatic). But, we've had both Mercedes diesels and VW vans in the family for far longer. My parents bought their first VW bus (a used '73) sometime around 1975, and bought their 240D (which they still have) in 1980.

Mechmagcn= Mechanical Magician
I am a self-employed mechanic that works on heavy duty trucks and heavy equipment. Used to have a customer who ran a lot of old, obsolete junk. One day the manager told me that I was a mechanical magician to keep all of that stuff running, the name started out as my handle on the CB and just stuck. Its been my screen name ever since I signed up to the first internet service that was offered in my area.

My name is Manny, and I like Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifles. When I picked it, I couldn't put an apostrophe. So it should be Manny's9130 but I just stick to the original. It's easier to type.

Can we combine the other threads?

A certain moderator with pixie dust should be able to combine the two existing threads (are there more?) and make it one sticky.

Right?
