It's a good day.

Sprinkler system called it quits when I tested it a few days ago. Tried again this morning (with a new fuse) and the zones are all firing up. One zone has low pressure, but the fault was easy to find when I spotted a geyser at one spot in the yard, and the rest of the heads barely put out any water.

Daughter's car had a headlight out, and I fixed the crappy harness this morning and got it working. No matter, as the new custom headlights arrived, so a new install will be in the works this weekend!

Plus it's 70 degrees today!

I kicked it for a few months. Miserable the first few weeks, then it was easy. Went back to it because I love the taste of coffee.

This AM, I had a surprise refresher course in the art of four-wheel drifting when my Pilot found a little black ice on an interstate entrance ramp.

Robotics for son #1 until 3:30, Challenger League game for son #2 6-7:30 next town over, basketball practice for DD 6-8 in town, basketball practice for son #1 7-9 two towns over. I think that's it.

It's been a good spring for us so far, it started off two months early. Things have started to level off a bit now, I'm sure some March sales just stole from April, but the golf guys are optimistic. The mild winter and spring got the golfers out early and play has been steady. Lots of rounds = money in the courses' coffers = money to buy my stuff or money to pay for my stuff they already bought.

Cautious optimism continues.

Work calls starting at 7:00 AM, half hour break all there is before mid-day doc appointment.... hopefully the last step in a really frustrating couple of weeks.

Seems Darling Wife (and the two very nice ladies driving down our street who stopped and called 911) found it somewhat concerning that I was napping on the lawn tractor. Something about the fact that I was mid-mow and the tractor still running raising red flags.

Have gone through ECG, CT scans, blood work, lots and lots of vital checks and discussions, and an EEG day before yesterday. Heart attack & stroke ruled out, pretty sure today's neurologist visit to review the EEG will rule out seizure & I'll get the all clear to drive.... for the first time since the "event."

Most likely explanation (assuming seizure gets ruled out) will come down to "ain't this other stuff, musta been low blood sugar" - which is where I started out (have known I'm hypoglycemic for decades). Understand the need to positively rule out everything else... being an old fart and all that. Plus, some of the data doesn't line up entirely with blood sugar (was confused for ~ 20 minutes after waking up, per Darling Wife).

If I was still drinking, this'd be an easy "oops, too much gin, sorry won't do that again." But it's been more than six months since I partook, so that ain't gonna fly .
