I ordered a set of 1035 Conti belts just to have on hand when needed, and of course, they were way too big. Got some no-name belts that were 1005 or so, and they worked fine.

Definitely from the throttle arm / accelerator pivot junction on the firewall, like everyone already said. You don't need to take anything apart, but you do need to put it back.
