Has anyone here installed one of those aftermarket drink/cup holders, the kind that is installed on the door and flips outs? My previous Mercedes had the empty center console where I was able to install one of the flat, duo cupholders. But my 1991 420SEL has the center console/glove compartment combo and if I want cupholders I will have to install them on the doors. So I am looking into installing one of those cupholders on the front passenger door.
I normally hate drilling anything on an interior part, like a door, because I don't like leaving holes and because I worry about what may be behind the door panel when I install the cup holder. Has anyone installed one of those holders? Did you have any subsequent problems after the installation? Do you have any suggestions? Tips? Advice? Thanks in advance.
