Also I guess Koop can add modern Black Powder to his infinite misunderstandings.

Black Powder is the only real accurate alternitive for people who live in non-rifle area's or special black powder only seasons.

And it's the fastest growing gun/hunting market so again the only thing that's pointless is koops post, not to mention just plain stupid.

That thing kicked with tremendous force, bruising my teenage shoulder for a week every november growing up... Then we started small game hunting and I got the ancient 16ga. bolt action beastie. I couldn't catch a break!

In reference to other guns it's a little more than a standard 12ga round and a little less than a 12ga slug.

It's a real sharp pound though like a rifle so it doesn't keep coming back, which leads to those fashionable half moons on the forehead.

I know a few people that are converting the 8mm mausers to 8mm/338, that makes a flat shooting thumper with over 1000 lbs of energy left @ 500 yards.

8mm's are also ballisicly stable like the .30's so they are awesome long range guns as well. If you have good mil-dot scope and a 1000yd range you should be able to drop them in the 10 ring.

Know why they have black powder and bow hunting seasons, TO GIVE THE IDIOTS USING ANTIQUATED STUFF A CHANCE, it's like special ed for hunters, geez if you want to use anachronistic stuff go bow hunting. Or how about a spear?

As for it being a fast growing market, so what? I understand the market for methamphetimine is pretty fast growing also. Don't think I'll follow the herd on that one either.

An idiot stands less of a chance getting anything with black powder than with a regular bolt action rifle.......becasue you don't get a second shot usually.

Special ed for hunters involves semi-automatic rifles in states that allow them.

Yea, 1/2 inch groups at 250yds and Zeiss scopes are crappy alright. I have more money in my scope that you do in your car.

There are people here that still couldn't hit anything but themselves or their hunting partner with one of those.

Back on topic and off poor sob's.

I played with a Mini-30 and that is one fun gun. I was surprised at how little the barrel heated. One little trick to keep the auto/semi guns from heating up too fast is to Moly coat the bullets, the reduced friction and wear on the barrel allows 30-50 more shots before getting too hot.

And you're somehow proud of this? I mean seriously, this is a point of pride for you that you dropped a bunch of money on a scope. Let me let you in on a little secret. Before I went to law school I wholesaled cars. I've owned more cars than you're entire inbreed family.
