I love mine.. I needed a wagon, wanted a diesel and loved my 300E. I think the 87 300TD is the only thing that fits the bill.. I wanted 4matic.. but you gets what you can get.

Have you checked your Overvoltage protection relay? I think if the fuse on the top of it is blown you will have an ABS light on all the time. Just a thought.

The circumference of the tire is what will make your speedo read incorrectly.. As long as all four tires are the same, your abs/traction control should work fine.

Question Front end Thumping Noise only after warmup.

My wife came home yesterday and said there was a Thumping noise coming from the front end of the 300TD. There was also vibration in the steering wheel.

She didn't mention this until several hours...

Sorry, I am out of ideas here. The only think I have ever had to do with SRS was replace the contact ring on my 300E and put in an airbag controller in my s320.. DUE to airbag deployment.
