Harry Reid said that Bundy didn't pay his taxes. He said the same thing about Romney which was proven to be a fabricated lie. How can we believe Reid says?

Looks to me like you are trying to defend this guy or find some sort of stupid answer for his behavior because of your personal bias from the past.

This debate is so ridiculous. The guy has NOT been paying fees for TWENTY years, and clearly is trying to make it a states rights issue now that its time to pay the piper and the inevitable bureacracy has caught up with him

Also, all this crap about things just coming out or actions illegally taken by the fed is preposterous. The guy probably has at a minimum, a hundred mailed notices saying he was delinquent, that such and such would happen, that he has such and such amount of time to appeal, ect. These things dont just suddenly happen, the current situation is the end result of twenty years of evading and ignoring notice after notice.

Heres a comparison thats similar-
My sister is a public defender in NY. Shes been telling me about a case where a guy who is an immigrant got two moving violations 9 years ago in his cab. He didnt pay the tickets, ignored every single notice sent, and 200 bucks in tickets became 15 violations. Years went by, and ultimately a warrant was issued for his arrest. Heres where it gets sticky for him. He hasnt been keeping up with immigration paperwork either, so now the house of cards is falling apart and he actually faces deportation over an initial illegal turn incident.

The lesson, do not ignore offical notices. This rancher obviously figured he could fly under the radar forever, but its caught up with a vengence. Now hes skillfully made it into a larger issue than just him evading fees that everyone else pays.

Im extremely surprised to see larry for one, defending him. Hes been breaking the laws for two decades, but apparently all is forgiven

VERY INSULTING!

My biggest kick about this is the WAY that the Feds are responding. Killing two of his bulls? That's pathetic. When will the Feds storm Sharpton? Answer, never.

Sharpton is a straw man. What else you got?

This guy is an insult to respectable western ranchers. What's glaring is the hypocrisy of those who support him. All the camo'd play soldiers who showed up looking for a fight. These are the same idiots who spout off on gun forums about Obama supporters wanting their "free stuff". Yet somehow it's OK that this fellow doesn't have to repay the people of the U.S. for the privilege of making his living on THEIR land.

I thought I read that the yahoos planned on being there to prevent the round up. Either way, the yahoos were there with pretty decent fire power. Stands to reason the government need to be well armed as well.

In March, Bundy sent letters to every state, county and federal official he could think of, declaring a "range war". The letters quickly made it onto the play-soldier network. How else were the feds supposed to show up? Heavy handed? Really?

What on earth do you expect?

Remember, he already prevented another roundup of his illegally grazing cattle 2 years ago. No shlt are they going to turn up in overwhelming force this time

Lets say i refuse to pay my propert tax, years go by, lein is put on my house, bank or city ultimately owns my property ,i refuse to leave, they send cops and i stand them down with my crew of people who are armed. You think they arent going to come back with a swat team?
