86/87 should be pretty much the same from an owners manuals and mechanical perspective. You may see some slightly different part numbers here and there on some things like relays that were superseded.

I did. Torn monovalve, no heat at high speed. Replaced with new MTC unit and Again no heat at high speed. Replaced with another MTC unit and it works
